This paper critically evaluates the methods and advantages of integrating management systems, on the basis of technical standards. It is focused on Cuba where there is a need for a holistic approach to be adopted for certifying business organizations in strategic sectors nationwide in a progressive and balanced way, and for local management to be strengthened.
