National and international investigators recognize that the use of audiovisual materials that favor the development of children of the first childhood depends on the adults that influence in its education. Contradictorily, a weakness is the insufficient knowledge that they possess about foundations of the audiovisual culture as to design and to manage teaching-learning situations related with the audiovisual means of communication. The Latin American center of reference for the preschool education it impels an investigation project from which the present arises with the objective to promote an audiovisual culture from the curriculum of formation of educators of the first childhood. Through methods like the analytic-synthetic one, system focus, documental analysis, interviews and others of scientific character intend a pedagogic strategy for students of the career Licentiate in education pre-escolar at the University of Artemisa. This work pursues to base the conceptual theoretical mark that, from the social sciences, it sustains the development of an audiovisual culture in educators of the first childhood.
