The article presents a reflection about factors that affects the doctoral training process and the findings addressed in updated publications and the author's domain. The findings result from the application of the inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic methods to determine essential aspects related to the perception of the internal content of the process. The results show the inside process that is almost invisible but affect the formation. Socioemotional contents emanate from this study and show the insecurity and negative emotions in doctoral students. It is a characterization that brings its meaning for the growth of doctoral students and discovers invisible characteristics. In addition, it shows contents related to the requirements in the doctoral student's supervisors training in order to have ways and strategies to do nicely that process.
