RICARDO-ZALDIVAR, Bartolo e FARRAY-ALVAREZ, Orlando. Virtual classroom: an alternative to learn English language at the Sport University of Cuba. RP [online]. 2024, vol.12, n.1, pp. 44-58. Epub 07-Jul-2024. ISSN 2308-3042.
Virtual classrooms are an essential way not only to develop distance learning, but also to support face-to-face teaching through blended learning. These classrooms would be effective for the teaching-learning process of English at "Manuel Fajardo" University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences. The lack of resources such as audio equipment to develop the listening skill could be reduced. After analyzing the indications of the technological direction according to the technological availability at the university, the use of virtual classrooms to develop the English teaching-learning process is considered possible. Because of this, the purpose of this paper is to present the structure of a virtual classroom to teach English, Level 1. This structure can equally be useful to develop the rest of the courses aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to be taught at this higher educational center. The creation of these virtual classrooms can improve the English learning quality by developing three of the four linguistics language skills (listening, reading comprehension and writing) out of the acquisition and fixation of the linguistics contents and expressive means.
