CHACON VELAZCO, Yinaily e LOPEZ PRESMANES, Jorge Luis. Regularities regarding the training of network administrators in Cuba. RP [online]. 2024, vol.12, n.1, pp. 59-73. Epub 07-Jul-2024. ISSN 2308-3042.
In today's interconnected world, where businesses and organizations rely heavily on computer networks for their operations, the role of network administrators has become paramount in ensuring the smooth functioning, security and efficiency of these networks. This article discusses the training of network administrators in Cuba, emphasizing the need for professional development in the field of information technology, due to its continuous evolution. The objective of the study focused on characterizing the training process of data network administrators in national institutions, using a documentary methodology and highlighting their vital role in modern organizations. Emphasis was placed on the use of online and distance learning platforms for training and the importance of ongoing education for administrators to maintain and protect network infrastructure. As a result of national training initiatives, there is a tendency to implement distance training actions, simultaneously using online education platforms and virtualized equipment on which professional training actions are developed. The lack of systematic and effective guidance for self-training and the mismatch between the training of global equipment manufacturers and the specific needs of Cuban institutions is identified. In conclusion, the results show that network management training is a vital aspect of any organization in the modern technological landscape.
