The objective of this article is to make an articulated proposal of the components and scope of Information Management and Communication Management in organizational contexts. Based on essential theoretical references in the international field and in the Cuban context, a content analysis allows examining particular approaches of these management processes, and their relationship. Research allows us not only to establish the interrelation and possible articulation of these processes, but also the relationship between their resources, processes, systems, products and services, as well as the strategic action itself. A map of components is presented to identify the possible relation between information management and communication management
