Abstract

RODRIGUEZ GUERRERO, Lissy  and  GOMEZ MASJUAN, Miguel Ernesto. Challenges and perspectives of convergence in the Cuban media scene: a methodological proposal to integrate newsrooms in Granma newspaper. ARCIC [online]. 2018, vol.7, suppl.1, pp.217-238. ISSN 2411-9970.

The article analyzes theoretical references that contribute to a new definition of the process of integration of newsrooms. Besides, it identifies practical experiences of integration of newsrooms in Cuba, and presents a proposal that conceives the new organizational structure of Granma newspaper, the transformation of its physical space, the creation of necessary professional roles in the environment of convergence, and the configuration of a new work system, based on training and socialization processes with all journalistic staff.
