The objective of this article is to evaluate the online catalog of the library "Zoe and Pablo de la Torriente Brau" of the School of Communication of the University of Havana, detecting its strengths and weaknesses. OPAC's initiatives, methodologies and evaluation tools are analyzed and the tool to be applied in the study is determined. Its main characteristics are recognized and an information gathering instrument is constructed in correspondence with the selected tool. The weaknesses and strengths of the OPACs of the "Zoe and Pablo de la Torriente Brau" library of the School of Communication of the University of Havana are presented.
