This article addresses the issue of how Information and Communication Technologies encourage new non-institutional social actors to assume the role of filling information gaps and creating digital memory spaces., and intends to make a historiographical proposal on the construction of the symbolic value of Cuban artists by agents of the art market, specifically the national art galleries and cultural institutions. The "Thecubanartobserver" project comes to project itself as a new place of digital memory capable of filling existing gaps and projecting alternative references on the visual arts, the circuit of galleries and exhibitions in Havana and Cuba at an international level, as well as addressing related issues to other edges of the arts such as its market. The news technologies, as seen through the example of this website and its representation in digital social networks, offer that opportunity to create new ways of retrieving, representing and disseminating information, absent today, about the memory of spaces. exhibitions of contemporary visual arts in Cuba.
