Bibliomed sobre técnicas cualitativas de investigación en la APS

En la atención médica integral se establecen las habilidades y conocimientos que deben aplicar los especialistas para realizar las acciones de promoción, prevención, diagnóstico oportuno y atención médica a factores de riesgo, problemas de salud, así como la rehabilitación temprana en los individuos, familias, comunidad y medio ambiente, teniendo en cuenta además las prioridades en cuanto a grupos de atención según los principales programas que se ejecutan en la APS.

La función investigativa se ocupa de las investigaciones utilizando la teoría marxista-leninista del conocimiento y la metodología científica, partiendo de las necesidades y demandas presentes y perspectivas del sistema nacional de salud. Se adopta como propósito fundamental el logro de los resultados concretos en el campo de la APS, y se consideran las ciencias médicas como una ciencia biosocial.1

La investigación cualitativa es el dato derivado de la observación, las entrevistas individuales y grupales, o interacción verbal, todas ellas encaminadas a explorar y profundizar desde la perspectiva de los consumidores. La elección de una técnica u otra y el grado en que se entrelazan, depende de los objetivos de la investigación por sí misma, así como de los límites del proyecto y la naturaleza del objeto de estudio.2

La comunicación de los resultados es un momento importante de toda investigación, pues permite el intercambio, la confrontación con la comunidad científica o con medios más amplios de los resultados obtenidos, tanto si son parciales como finales. Es por tanto una evaluación de dichos resultados, así como de los métodos, técnicas y formas de organizar la actividad investigativa. La investigación cualitativa tiene una racionalidad científica diferente, su propósito esencial es determinar los significados que tienen para los sujetos implicados los hechos, circunstancias y fenómenos que viven.3

Como se expuso anteriormente, se consideran las ciencias médicas como una ciencia biosocial. La creación de la microbrigada social, vinculada al equipo de salud, constituye el acontecimiento más relevante de la barriada en los últimos años. Se constatan cambios positivos en el estilo de vida y en el estado de salud de la población. Las modificaciones en los riesgos sociales son el resultado del trabajo de participación comunitaria y social bajo el liderazgo del grupo profiláctico multidisciplinario. La vinculación del Médico y la Enfermera de la Familia a la microbrigada social ha constituido el acontecimiento más relevante de la comunidad. La vinculación del equipo de salud-microbigada social, o salud-comunidad es una unión provechosa con resultados generalmente muy positivos.

Con este conjunto de definiciones emanadas del estudio bibliográfico se concluye que la investigación médica en el campo de la salud es de gran importancia, ya que parte de las necesidades y demandas presentes así como las perspectivas del sistema nacional de salud.

El boletín Bibliomed aborda el tema "Técnicas cualitativas de investigación en la APS," que incluye aspectos relacionados con la comunicación, el trabajo en equipo y la salud como producto social, útiles para su estudio en función de la sociedad en su conjunto, por lo que se espera que la información recogida en este boletín ayude a elevar el conocimiento que sobre este aspecto tengan los profesionales de la APS.
