TaViSoft: SOFTWARE FOR CONSTRUTING LIFE TABLES OF ARTHROPODS

TaViSoft: SOFTWARE PARA LA CONFECCIÓN DE TABLAS DE VIDA DE ARTRÓPODOS

Dear Sr;

TaViSoft is a software developed in C Sharp (C #) object-oriented and using Sharp Develop as programming IDE.

This software allows estimating the population parameters of arthropods from life tables, which permit to assess their population behavior in the natural environment. TaViSoft also allows, from life table data; to get other population parameters such as Net Reproductive Rate, Finite Increase Rate and Intrinsic Growth Rate.

This becomes a very important program for the efficient, fast and reliable calculation of the above parameters, it allows the country to have a statistical package specifically for the calculation of life tables, accessible to researchers, specialists and teaching staff, working on the ecology of arthropod populations, biological control and other related topics.

These types of software are worldwide very expensive, of difficult access and they only contain tools that can help making these computations, but they are not designed for this purpose, which shows TaviSoft importance.
