Results and prospects of the educational work in the Tyumen branch, industrial University in Surgut

ABSTRACT

The article studies the role of educational work in the branch of the Tyumen Industrial University in Surgut, based on the concept of "Person, citizen, professional." Educational work with students in the branch is an integral part of the preparation of bachelors. Effective educational work solves the problem of forming the intellectual and creative potential of the individual, allows to create all the conditions for self-development and self-affirmation of the individual, improving the abilities of all students. The relevance of the problem of educational work in the university is determined by the specifics of the student youth environment, the intellectual elite, young people, which are distinguished by the most purposefulness, “advancement” in any undertakings.

RESUMEN

El artículo estudia el papel del trabajo educativo en la rama de la Universidad Industrial Tyumen en Surgut, basado en el concepto de "Persona, ciudadano, profesional". El trabajo educativo con los estudiantes en la rama es una parte integral de la preparación de los licenciados. El trabajo educativo efectivo resuelve el problema de formar el potencial intelectual y creativo del individuo, le permite crear todas las condiciones para el autodesarrollo y la autoafirmación del individuo, mejorando las habilidades de todos los estudiantes. La relevancia del problema del trabajo educativo en la universidad está determinada por los detalles del entorno juvenil estudiantil, la élite intelectual, los jóvenes, que se distinguen por la mayor determinación, "avance" en cualquier empresa.

Introduction

Socio-economic transformations in Russia, preparing a new generation capable of successfully implementing these transformations in the interests of the individual, society and the state, overcoming manifestations of spirituality in the youth environment require increased attention to the problems of educating young people. The UN expressed in its documents a brief formula for youth policy with the three main concepts “Participation, development, peace”.

It is at the university that, having passed the school of public organizations, associations, creative groups, a student acquires solid life guidelines, organizational skills, personal qualities necessary for a scientist, leader, public figure (Grigorash, 2014). It follows that, along with solving the problems of the educational process, the university is obliged to create the conditions for personal self-development and self-affirmation of the student.

Educational work at the Tyumen Industrial University is an important part of the bachelor's preparation process, taking into account national and regional youth policies, the requirements of the period, and in accordance with UN ideas, the formula for educating students is defined as “Person, citizen, professional” (Ilyashenko et al, 2019).

Educational work in a university has traditionally been aimed at: nurturing personal, civic and professional qualities among students, establishing universal values ​​and patriotism among students; the identification of talented youth and the creation of conditions for the realization of their creative and sports potential; development of student self-government (Kazakova, et al., 2015); maintaining and enhancing the traditions of holding student festivals, olympiads, competitions, scientific youth schools and conferences as the basis for the development and strengthening of professional and cultural ties between creative student groups, youth organizations and educational institutions of the Russian regions.

General cultural competencies are presented in detail in the Federal State Standard of the 3rd generation (Povshednaya, et al., 2015). All of them are based on the main goals of education, the structural representation of social experience and the main types of student activities that will allow him to master social experience and gain life and practical skills in modern society (Boyarkina, 2014).

Methodology

The methodological basis of the education system at the Tyumen Industrial University includes a universal set of criteria:

  • harmonious development of man;

  • human spirituality;

  • openness of a holistic pedagogical process.

The content of upbringing determines a number of ideas that reflect modern trends in the development of world and Russian education (Bogdanovich, 2009). These are the ideas:

  • personal growth and development;

  • tolerance and national identity;

  • discipline and responsibility.

The conceptual basis of the educational work of the university is the priority of systematic educational activities with students.

The means of upbringing are the personal example and authority of the teacher, the humanistic nature of the university atmosphere and the traditions of the university (Mironov, 2015).

The priority task of educational work with students at the Tyumen Industrial University is to create conditions for self-realization in intellectual, spiritual, cultural and moral development and personal growth.

We single out the most specific and relevant tasks:

  1. the formation of students' spiritual, moral and cultural values ​​and needs, ethical standards and generally accepted rules of behavior in society, moral qualities, intelligence (Trukhachev, et al., 2010).

  2. Education of students with personal qualities necessary for effective professional activity.

  3. development of students' citizenship and patriotic consciousness, legal and political culture;

  4. the formation and development of students' skills in the team, their management, development of leadership qualities through various forms of self-management of students (Tukova, 2015).

  5. strengthening and improving physical and mental health, raising the need for a healthy lifestyle and intolerant attitude to drugs, drunkenness, antisocial behavior (Kutnyak, 2012);

  6. preservation and enhancement of the historical and cultural traditions of the university, ensuring their continuity, introducing students to university corporate culture, the formation of a sense of collectivism and solidarity.

The result of educational work at the Tyumen Industrial University is a dynamic personal growth of students.

Results

Educational work is the most important component of the educational activity of the branch of the Tyumen Industrial University in the city of Surgut and is carried out continuously both in the course of academic work and after school hours. The branch carries out educational work in accordance with the local regulatory acts of TIU. For the 2018-2019 academic year, students took part in intra-university, municipal, district events.

Adaptation measures for freshmen aimed at uniting the team were carried out (the adaptation program for freshmen of the Autumn Boom branch, Debut 2018, the District student procession of freshmen, etc.).

Organized social support for students, so for the 2018-2019 school year, 11 students belonging to the category of the poor (family income below the subsistence level), 4 people were orphans and left without parental care received material assistance, 1 student received a lump sum in connection with the loss of one of parents. A clear and well-coordinated work with curators and class leaders of academic groups has been built. Events dedicated to calendar-themed holidays were organized and carried out - “Knowledge Day”, an exhibition dedicated to Mother’s Day “Happiness is in your hands”, a competition for the best audience design for the New Year, International Women's Day, Defender of the Fatherland Day, etc. Traditionally, in October, first-year students took part in the city competition “Freshman Debut-2018”, in the spring of 2019 they took part in the Student Creativity Festival 2019 and took the honorable 3rd place in the “Journalism” nomination.

In this academic year, a KVN team was created at the branch, which in November 2018 successfully debuted at the KVN Cup of the Mayor of Surgut, in December 2018 took part in the KVN game for the prize of the TIU rector, where they received the diploma "For Best Actress" and completed their presentation this season at the Winter Cup of the game KVN of the city of Surgut.

The branch’s trainers for the first time took part in the city’s military sports game “Shield”, where they took third place. Also, as part of civic-patriotic education, we spent one day at the closed training center of the Internal Affairs Directorate, where they took a survival course in the extreme environment “One Day in Special Forces”, took part and won prizes in the personal team championship at the DOSAAF Championship in Military Applied Sports dedicated to the Day of Military Glory of Russia. " They took part in the Kursk Bulge historical city quest, as a result they took 2nd place and took first place in the All-Russian game “Risk: intelligence, intuition, speed, team”.

Close interaction was established with the preventive medical organizations of the city, namely, the Regional Center for the Prevention of AIDS, the Regional Psychoneurological Hospital and measures were taken to prevent the use of narcotic drugs and psychoactive substances among young people, and the prevention of HIV infection among young people.

Also this year, students took part in a series of events on legal literacy and electoral activity, these were not only lectures, but the branch team also took third place in the city parliamentary debate “Argument”, the city intellectual game “Safe Internet”.

In the framework of the prevention of extremism, terrorism and the cultivation of tolerance, the following activities were carried out: curator and classroom hours on the topic “Constitution of the Russian Federation”, Concept Extremism and Terrorism essence and various aspects of manifestation”, round table “Tolerance in the rule of law”, photo contest "The city in which I live", round table "The Constitution of the Russian Federation on interethnic relations", etc.

The branch is working on the formation of a healthy lifestyle. In the framework of this direction, sports events are organized and held: indoor soccer tournament, fun starts, table tennis, arm wrestling competitions, Miss Grace Competitions for girls, and the action “We don’t smoke”. Every year, students of our branch take part in the city student sports festival and win awards in the individual and team championships.

In this academic year, the Council of students continued its work, an asset of students was created and steadily functioning. For the first time in this academic year, our students took part in the district competition "Student of the Year YUGRA-2018. “Volunteers of our branch took part not only in the Kursk Bulge historical city quest, in the Surgut. Oil. Gas - 2018” and at other venues of city events, but also underwent training under the Victory Volunteer program and participated in the procession of the Immortal Regiment, as part of the Victory Day celebration.

A priority of educational work in the branch is also focused activity on involving students and teachers in mass sports events, the formation of a health culture and commitment to a healthy lifestyle at the university. Popular sporting events are held annually: freshmen cup, student sports contest, futsal championships, Miss Grace Competition, city sports events.

Conclusions

Of course, a mandatory component of educational work is a system for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of educational activities, which is necessary to adjust and improve the content, forms and methods of educational work with students. As a result, the principles of humanization, humanization, and democratization of university life must be observed (Tukova, 2015).

The system for assessing the state and effectiveness of educational activities includes the following elements: conducting sociological surveys (questionnaires) of students on educational, scientific, extracurricular and social work; analysis of the educational experience of the departments; analysis of plans, reports and monitoring their implementation; holding meetings with curators on the organization and conduct of educational work; participation in the work of the Academic Council, at meetings devoted to the problems of educating students during academic and extracurricular activities; participation in conferences, seminars and other events related to educational work and youth policy conducted by external organizations; analysis of student participation in city and university competitions, festivals, competitions.

Only in these conditions is it possible for a student to become a person, citizen, and professional.
