La educación ambiental es el componente principal para dar solución a los problemas del medio ambiente y de los recursos naturales; las estrategias que se empleen para su enseñanza, deben concebir el conocimiento in situ. El objetivo de la investigación fue aplicar la visita guiada y talleres de educación ambiental a los estudiantes universitarios de la Escuela de Ingeniería Forestal y Ambiental de la Universidad Nacional de Jaén como estrategias de enseñanza para que reconocer al Área de Conservación Municipal Bosque de Huamantanga (ACMBH) como mitigador del cambio climático. La muestra fue de 39 estudiantes, la investigación fue de tipo pre experimental con pre test y pos test para un solo grupo. En la prueba de hipótesis general Chi-cuadrado, se encontró que la significancia bilateral fue menor que el valor crítico (p=0.05), aceptando la hipótesis estadística alterna, es decir la visita guiada y los talleres en educación ambiental son dos estrategias enseñanza que sirven para reconocer al ACMBH como mitigador del cambio climático.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The forests that fulfill the ecosystem service are considered as mitigating factors of climate change. Environmental education is the main component to solve the problems of the environment and natural resources; the strategies that are used for their teaching, must conceive the knowledge in situ. The objective of the research was to apply the guided visit and environmental education workshops to the university students of the School of Forest and Environmental Engineering of the National University of Jaén as teaching strategies so that they recognize the Municipal Conservation Area Bosque de Huamantanga (ACMBH) a climate change mitigator. The sample consisted of 39 students, the research was of a pre-experimental type with pre-test and post-test for a single group. In the general Chi-square hypothesis test, it was found that the bilateral significance was less than the critical value (p = 0.05), accepting the alternative statistical hypothesis, that is, the guided visit and the workshops in environmental education are two teaching strategies that they serve to recognize the ACMBH as a mitigator of climate change.]]></p></abstract>
