El enfoque fue cuantitativo. El tipo de investigación fue descriptiva con alcance exploratorio. La población del estudio se integró con estudiantes del Programa de Posgrado en Tecnología avanzada del Centro de Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica del Instituto Politécnico Nacional, con ella se construyó una muestra probabilística y estratificada. Para obtener la información se elaboró un cuestionario con preguntas de opción múltiple que se aplicó en línea. Los resultados demostraron que los medios digitales más utilizados para obtener información fueron las bases de datos y los buscadores de internet especializados. Los recursos que más se ocuparon fueron las revistas electrónicas de investigación. Los gestores de referencias bibliográficas más empleados fueron Mendeley y Word. Las principales herramientas digitales para almacenar información en nube fueron Google Drive, OneDrive y Dropbox. Se concluye que las implicaciones de esta investigación fundamentan el propósito de orientar los esfuerzos de académicos, investigadores e instituciones de educativas, para atender y reforzar las competencias digitales en los planes y programas de estudio del posgrado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to determine which digital tools are most used by postgraduate students in advanced technology and their relationship with research skills. The approach was quantitative. The type of research was descriptive with an exploratory scope. The study population was made up of students from the Postgraduate Program in Advanced Technology of the Technological Research and Innovation Center of the National Polytechnic Institute, with which a probabilistic and stratified sample was constructed. To obtain the information, a questionnaire with multiple choice questions was developed and applied online. The results showed that the most used digital media to obtain information were databases and specialized internet search engines. The resources that were used the most were electronic research journals. The most used bibliographic reference managers were Mendeley and Word. The main digital tools to store information in the cloud were Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. It is concluded that the implications of this research support the purpose of guiding the efforts of academics, researchers, and educational institutions, to address and reinforce digital skills in postgraduate study plans and programs.]]></p></abstract>
