Biomass concentrations between 12 and 20 mg/mL were achieved, with growth yields between 0,65 and 1,08, indicating that the composition of the medium and the carbon source used were satisfactory. The lipolytic enzyme activity was evaluated at pH 4,8 and 7, showing two peaks of activity, at 48 and 120 h, respectively. The selected strains with the highest enzymatic activity at 48 h were at pH 4,8 the ML5-32 and ML6-35 (580 and 584 U/L, respectively) and at pH 7,0 the MS2-8 (545 U/L), which showed appropriated results to continue with their study towards its potential industrial application.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Se estudió la producción de lipasa en cultivo sumergido por cuatro cepas de hongos filamentosos lipolíticos, utilizando aceite de soja como única fuente de carbono y energía. Se obtuvieron concentraciones de biomasa entre 12 y 20 mg/mL, con rendimientos de crecimiento entre 0,65 y 1,08, indicando que la composición del medio y la fuente de carbono utilizada resultaron adecuadas. La actividad enzimática lipolítica fue evaluada a pH 4.8 y 7, observándose dos picos de actividad enzimática, a las 48 y 120 h, respectivamente. Las cepas seleccionadas con mayor actividad enzimática a las 48 h fueron a pH 4,8 las ML5-32 y ML6-35 (580 and 584 U/L, respectivamente) y a pH 7,0 la MS2-8 (545 U/L), las que presentan resultados apropiados para continuar con su estudio para su potencial aplicación industrial.]]></p></abstract>
