Primeramente, se obtuvo la curva de calibración del azul de metileno para evaluar el comportamiento de la remoción de este colorante en el humedal, obteniéndose elevadas eficiencias de remoción del mismo y concentraciones efluentes por debajo del límite de detección del método. Posteriormente se realizó la caracterización del agua residual efluente de la Fábrica "Juan Pedro Carbó Serviá" perteneciente a la Empresa de Confecciones Fénix, obteniéndose que dichas aguas residuales no cumplen con los límites de vertimientos para los valores de pH y Demanda Química de Oxígeno. Finalmente se evaluó la depuración de dichas aguas residuales en el humedal experimental, donde se obtiene un efluente que cumple con la norma cubana de vertimiento y eficiencias de remoción superiores al 90 %.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In the present research the dye removal in an experimental subsurface wetland was evaluated. First, the calibration curve of the methylene blue was obtained to evaluate the behavior of the removal of this dye in the wetland, obtaining high removal efficiencies of dye and effluent concentrations below the detection limit of the method. Subsequently, the characterization of the effluent wastewater of "Juan Pedro Carbó Serviá" Factory belonging to the Company of &#8220;Confecciones Fénix&#8221; was carried out, obtaining that these wastewater does not conform to the Cuban regulation standards for the values of pH and Chemical Oxygen Demand. Finally, the purification of this wastewater in the experimental wetland was evaluated, where an effluent conforms to the Cuban standard of discharge and removal efficiencies of more than 90 % were obtained.]]></p></abstract>
