<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000200413&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000200413&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000200413&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Un contaminante presente en el vertedero de Sagua la Grande son los lixiviados, líquidos oscuros producidos por la descomposición de la materia orgánica y el agua que se escurre a consecuencias de las precipitaciones, con alta carga orgánica, sin que reciban el tratamiento adecuado. En el trabajo se calculó el caudal de lixiviados existente en el vertedero tomando como referencia la época lluviosa del municipio (mayo- octubre) con acumulados importantes en las precipitaciones, para ello se utilizaron dos métodos de cálculo, el método suizo y el método de balance hídrico, como resultado se obtuvo, por el método suizo un caudal de lixiviado es de 0,59 L/seg, mientras que, por el balance hídrico el caudal fue de 0,58 L/seg, por tanto los resultados en ambos métodos fueron similares. Como resultado del estudio se propone el tratamiento primario, con un desarenador con un caudal máximo de 4 L/seg , de 3,5 m de longitud y un ancho de 0,80 m, con velocidad de sedimentación de 0,030 m/seg y seguidamente el tratamiento biológico un reactor USAB (Upflow Anaeróbico Sludge Blanket), con una altura de 4 m, un radio de 1,75 m y un volumen de 38,48 m3 , tiempo de retención hidráulica (THR) de 2,67 horas con carga hidráulica de 1,49 m/h, el filtro biológico con una altura de 2,80 m y un ancho de 1,20 m. Para el tratamiento físico-químico se propone el lecho de secado para la recolección de los lodos digeridos con un ancho de 1,80 m y una longitud de 2,0 m.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A pollutant present in the landfill of Sagua la Grande is leachate, dark liquids produced by the decomposition of organic matter and the water that draining as a result of rainfall, with high organic load, without receiving adequate treatment. In the work the flow of leachate existing in the landfill was calculated taking as reference the rainy season of the municipality (May-October) with important accumulated the rainfall, two calculation methods were used, the Swiss method and the water balance, As a result, it was obtained that in the Swiss method the leachate flow rate is 0,59 L/sec, while in the water balance the flow rate was 0,58 L/sec, therefore the results in both methods were similar. As an alternative, the primary treatment is proposed, by means of a sand trap with a maximum flow of 4 L/sec, 3,5 m in length and a width of 0,80 m, with a sedimentation rate of 0,030 m / sec, a USAB (Sludge Blanket Anaerobic Up flow) reactor for the treatment Biological , with a height of 4 m, a radius of 1,75 m an volume of 38,48 m3, hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 2,67 hours with hydraulic load of 1,49 m / h, the biological filter with a height of 2,80 m, a width of 1,20 m, for the physical-chemical treatment the drying bed is proposed for the collection of digested sludge with a width of 1,80 m a length of 2,0 m.]]></p></abstract>
