Objetivo:  Reflexionar acerca de una nueva visión en los escenarios docentes de la educación médica durante la pandemia de COVID-19.  Desarrollo:  Le corresponde al personal de la educación médica enfrentar la realidad impuesta por esta pandemia con entrega y capacidad desarrolladora, e incorporar una nueva visión en el campo virtual. Para ello sirven como base tecnológica las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones, las plataformas virtuales Moodle, Gloogle Meet entre otras. También se debe propiciar la creación de ambientes pedagógicos para estimular, incorporar y desarrollar nuevas formas de enseñanzas a través de conferencias y seminarios online, webinar, etcétera.  Conclusiones:  La enfermedad de COVID-19 ha impuesto en la educación médica un pensamiento de cambio y transformación del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje tradicional, al cual debe sumarse y engranarse un nuevo escenario virtual con el uso óptimo de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones. El reto está en identificar las acciones positivas que permitan un desarrollo con agilidad y destreza, pues el futuro de la educación médica será diferente, por lo que hay que asumir con responsabilidad la acción de formar a nuestros estudiantes como profesionales competentes en su desempeño.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction:  The disease caused by the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, since December 2019 represented a health emergency that generated worldwide concern due to its impact on health and the economy, but also with consequences for education.  Objective:  To reflect about a new vision in teaching setting of medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Development:  The medical education personnel is in charge of facing the reality imposed by this pandemic, with dedication and development capacity, as well as incorporating a new vision in the virtual setting. In view of this, the existing technological infrastructure is served by information and communication technologies, as well as by virtual platforms like Moodle and Gloogle Meet. The creation of pedagogical settings should also be fostered, in view of stimulating, incorporating and developing new teaching forms, using conferences and online seminars, webinars.  Conclusions:  COVID-19 has imposed, on medical education, a thinking of change and transformation of the traditional teaching and learning process, to which a new virtual setting must be added and involved with through optimal use of information and communication technologies. The challenge is to identify positive actions that allow development with agility and dexterity, since the future of medical education will be a different one, a reason why responsibility should be encouraged for training students as professionals competent in their performance.]]></p></abstract>
