Entre ellas se encuentran los aneurismas venosos yuxta-anastomóticos.  Objetivo: Presentar el tratamiento quirúrgico utilizado para reparar fístula arterio-venosa para hemodiálisis en aneurisma venoso yuxta-anastomótico.  Métodos: Paciente de 54 años, femenina, color de piel negra, con antecedentes de padecer insuficiencia renal crónica de doce años de evolución y transplante renal fallido. Presentó un aneurisma venoso yuxta-anastomótico, localizado en una fístula arterio-venosa húmero-cefálica en miembro superior izquierdo, confirmado por Eco-doppler.  Resultados: Se emplearon como tratamientos quirúrgicos la aneurismectomía y el injerto por sustitución con prótesis vascular expandible de poli-tetrafluoretileno. Finalmente, se preservaron la fístula arterio-venosa y su permeabilidad.  Conclusiones: La fístula arterio-venosa como vía de acceso para la hemodiálisis fue satisfactoria en cuanto a su funcionabilidad y utilización.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction:  Despite the great technical advance represented by internal arterio-venous fistulas for hemodialysis, these are not exempt from complications that compromise their durability. Among them are juxta-anastomotic venous aneurysms.  Objective:  To present the surgical treatment used to repair arteriovenous fistula for hemodialysis in Juxta-Anastomotic Venous Aneurysm.  Methods:  A 54-year-old female patient, black skin color, with a history of chronic renal failure of twelve years of evolution and failed kidney transplantation. She presented a juxta-anastomotic venous aneurysm, located in a humerus-cephalic arteriovenous fistula in the left upper limb, confirmed by Eco-Doppler.  Results:  Aneurysmectomy and replacement grafting with expandable poly-tetrafluorethylene vascular prostheses were used as surgical treatments. Finally, the arterio-venous fistula and its permeability were preserved.  Conclusions:  Arterio-venous fistula as an access route for hemodialysis was satisfactory in terms of its functionality and use.]]></p></abstract>
