Estas competencias las deben tener los profesores para poder realizar las funciones que le corresponden en primaria; con el propósito de: sustentar, diseñar e implementar una propuesta formativa para el desarrollo y evaluación de dichos conocimientos y de dos competencias clave (la competencia matemática y la competencia en análisis e intervención didáctica), que esté alineada con las políticas públicas educativas de Panamá y las orientaciones de la UNESCO. La investigación es cualitativa, puesto que estamos interesados en describir y reflexionar sobre el desarrollo de competencias de los profesores de primaria.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The article identifies the key mathematical knowledge and the teacher competency profile contained in Module 1 of the qualified course "Teaching Strategies for the Teaching of Mathematics". These competences must have the teachers to be able to perform the functions that correspond to them in primary school; with the purpose of: sustaining, designing and implementing a training proposal for the development and evaluation of said knowledge and of two key competences (mathematical competence and competence in analysis and didactic intervention), which is aligned with the public educational policies of Panama and the UNESCO guidelines. The research is primarily qualitative, since we are interested in describing and reflecting on the development of competences of primary school teachers.]]></p></abstract>
