Para ello, se utilizaron métodos como el análisis-síntesis, la inducción-deducción e histórico-lógico para sistematizar información proveniente del análisis documental y las experiencias registradas por los autores en la conducción del proceso formativo de dicho profesional. Los resultados incluyen la identificación y conceptualización de la competencia a desarrollar, los problemas contextuales que se presentan en el entorno de actuación de este profesional (al dirigir el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de la biología desde lo académico, investigativo y extensionista, centrado en proyectos educativos concretos), los criterios de desempeño, respecto a lo cual es posible revelar tres ejes procesuales (caracterizar el estado de conservación de la fitodiversidad, identificar acciones de manejo que correspondan al estado de conservación de diferentes elementos de la misma e implementar acciones educativas en apoyo a acciones para su manejo sostenible), que conforman la concepción de la competencia. Como elementos probatorios que permitan evaluar el nivel de formación alcanzado, se proponen las evidencias a presentar por cada profesor de biología en formación (portafolio, colecciones, informes, herbario, medios de enseñanza, certificados).]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The present work describes the competence to educate in the conservation of the phytodiversity of the professor in training of the Bachelor's degree in Biology Education. For this, methods such as the analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and historical-logical were used to systematize information from the documentary analysis and the experiences registered by the authors in the running of the formative process of this professional. The results include the identification and conceptualization of the competence to be developed, the contextual problems that arise in the environment of this professional's performance (at the time of directing this process from the academic, investigative and extensionist; the teaching learning process of biology, educative projects), the performance criteria of which it is possible to reveal three procedural central ideas (characterize the state of conservation of the phytodiversity, identify management actions that correspond to the state of conservation of different elements of the phytodiversity and implement educational actions to support the sustainable management actions of the phytodiversity) that make up the conception of the competence. As evidence that allows to evaluate the performance criteria and the level of training of the competence, the evidence to be presented by each biology teacher in training and the established performance levels that account for the degree of training of the competence that is object of study are proposed, with the purpose of contributing to a competent professional performance.
