<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2079-34802018000100097&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2079-34802018000100097&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2079-34802018000100097&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The study was developed during 2014 in the Estación Experimental de Pastos y Forrajes (EEPF) from Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias "Jorge Dimitrov" to evaluate the percentage of sprouting and development of plantlets in two varieties of M. oleifera (Nicaragua and Criolla ), sown with agamic seed and application of irrigation (250 m3 ha-1). The varieties were considered as treatments and were arranged in a random block design with four replications. When the establishment cut was made at 96 d, the plant height, number of leaves per sprout, weight of stems and young leaves, number and thickness of sprouts, leaf/stem ratio on dry basis and percentage of dry matter in leaves, stems and whole plant were controlled.The Nicaragua variety showed higher sprouting percentage (p&#8804;0.01) with respect to the Criolla. However, the Criolla exceeded (p&#8804;0.001) the Nicaragua variety in number of leaves per sprout. When it was cut at 96 d, in the variables that characterized the development of the plant, there were no significant differences (p&#8805;0.05). The Nicaragua variety showed values of height, number of sprouts, sprouts thickness and DM percentage in leaves, stem and whole plant of, 222.6cm; 2.5; 1.8; 22 %; 17.85 % and 19.15 % respectively, while the Criolla values were 217.1cm; 2.08; 23.35 %; 16.35 % and 18.55 % (in order). The leaf / stem ratio at 96 d was 0.62 and 0.63 for Nicaragua and Criolla, respectively. Under Valle del Cauto conditions, the sowing of M. oleifera with agamic seed does not affect the plant development.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El estudio se desarrolló durante el año 2014 en la Estación Experimental de Pastos y Forrajes (EEPF) del Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias &#8220;Jorge Dimitrov&#8221; para evaluar el porcentaje de brotación y desarrollo de las plántulas en dos variedades de M. oleifera (Nicaragua y Criolla), sembradas con semilla agámica y aplicación de riego (250 m3 ha-1). Las variedades se contemplaron como tratamientos y se dispusieron en un diseño de bloques al azar con cuatro réplicas. Al efectuar el corte de establecimiento a los 96 d, se controló la altura de la planta, número de hojas por brote, peso de tallos y hojas tiernas, número y grosor de brotes, relación hoja/tallo en base seca y porcentaje de materia seca en hojas, tallos y planta íntegra. La variedad Nicaragua presentó porcentaje superior de brotación (p&#8804;0.01) con respecto a la Criolla. Sin embargo, la Criolla superó (p&#8804;0.001) a la variedad Nicaragua en el número de hojas por brote. Cuando se cortó a los 96 d, en las variables que caracterizaron el desarrollo de la planta, no se observaron diferencias significativas (p&#8805;0.05). La variedad Nicaragua mostró valores de altura, número de brotes, grosor de los brotes y porcentaje de MS en hojas, tallo y planta íntegra de, 222.6cm; 2.5; 1.8; 22 %; 17.85 y 19.15 % respectivamente, mientras que los valores de la Criolla fueron de 217.1cm; 2.08; 23.35%; 16.35% y 18.55 % (en orden). La proporción hoja/tallo a los 96 d fue de 0.62 y 0.63 para Nicaragua y Criolla, respectivamente. En las condiciones del Valle del Cauto, la siembra de M. oleifera con semilla agámica no afecta el desarrollo de la planta.]]></p></abstract>
