<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2218-36202022000600530&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2218-36202022000600530&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2218-36202022000600530&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este estudio analiza el grado de efectividad de los arrecifes artificiales como medio de incremento poblacional de la ictiofauna en una comunidad en el Golfo de Fonseca, cuyas corrientes de turbidez, sedimentos, componentes atmosféricos y materia orgánica en áreas rocosas, son de alta productividad, proporcionando alimento y refugio a una diversidad de peces, ostras, jaibas y otros organismos. Se seleccionó la comunidad pesquera de San José de la Conchas en el municipio de Marcovia, donde previo al lanzamiento de los domos se realizó una primera captura en la temporada de invierno y otra a dos meses del tiraje de las estructuras en verano. Además, se analizaron los sedimentos presentes en el sitio de depósito, los niveles de contaminación sedimental y otros parámetros. En esta primera fase del estudio, se identificaron nueve especies de las cuales ocho son comerciales, se determinó que el mayor volumen de biomasa se generó en invierno decayendo en verano producto del cambio de las corrientes y que la mimetización de los arrecifes artificiales determina el éxito en la generación de microsistemas reproductivos en la cadena trófica que contribuya a la seguridad alimentaria de la población pesquera de la zona.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study analyzes the degree of effectiveness of artificial reefs as a means of increasing the population of the ichthyofauna in a community in the Gulf of Fonseca, whose currents of turbidity, sediments, atmospheric components, and organic matter in rocky areas are highly productive, providing food and shelter for a diversity of fish, oysters, crabs, and other organisms. The fishing community of San José de la Conchas in the municipality of Marcovia was selected, where prior to the launch of the domes, a first capture was made in the winter season and another two months after the structures were released in the summer. In addition, the sediments present at the deposit site, the levels of sediment contamination and other parameters were analyzed. In this first phase of the study, nine species were identified, of which eight are commercial, it was determined that the largest volume of biomass was generated in winter, declining in summer as a result of the change in currents and that the mimicry of artificial reefs determines the success in the generation of reproductive microsystems in the food chain that contributes to the food security of the fishing population of the area.]]></p></abstract>
