Considering this, this paper discusses the main approaches to the problem of holistic development and the concept of polarities in scientific and practical psychology. On the basis of a comparative analysis of the question of holistic development, the psychological content of this phenomenon and its significance in the study of personality structure are revealed. Undoubtedly, self and personality are closely related, and the way a person sees and behaves in the world is influenced by the interaction between these two concepts.
</abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es">
</abstract>
