La investigación en este campo abarca diferentes aspectos en los que se incluyen la valoración del entorno de los pacientes, los cuidadores y el personal sanitario. Este artículo tiene como objetivo examinar la investigación centrada en la evaluación de la calidad de los servicios sanitarios y resaltar las tendencias principales en esta área. Para lograr este objetivo, se realizó una revisión de la literatura científica publicada en bases de datos reconocidas, como Scopus y Redalyc. Se seleccionaron 1303 artículos revisados por pares utilizando palabras clave, de los cuales se eligieron finalmente 18 para un estudio detallado. Los resultados obtenidos tienen un potencial significativo para mejorar las condiciones en los centros sanitarios. Se identificaron aspectos tanto positivos como negativos en la evaluación de la calidad de los servicios sanitarios, que incluyen actividades generales hospitalarias, cuidados de enfermería, sistemas de información, servicios de turismo médico, servicios médicos basados en nuevas tecnologías y tratamiento protésico. Esta investigación proporciona una visión general de las áreas clave que influyen en la calidad de los servicios sanitarios y destaca la importancia de abordar múltiples dimensiones en su evaluación.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The quality of healthcare services is a relevant topic worldwide in the scientific field. Research in this field covers different aspects including the assessment of the environment of patients, caregivers and healthcare personnel. This article aims to examine research focused on the evaluation of the quality of health services and to highlight the main trends in this area. To achieve this objective, a review of the scientific literature published in recognized databases, such as Scopus and Redalyc, was carried out. A total of 1303 peer-reviewed articles were selected using relevant keywords, from which 18 were finally chosen for detailed study. The results obtained have significant potential for improving conditions in healthcare facilities. Both positive and negative aspects were identified in the evaluation of the quality of healthcare services, including general hospital activities, nursing care, information systems, medical tourism services, medical services based on new technologies, and prosthetic treatment. This research provides an overview of the key areas that influence the quality of health services and highlights the importance of addressing multiple dimensions in their evaluation.]]></p></abstract>
