Empleando técnicas estadísticas como el análisis de varianza (ANOVA) y la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis se investiga la elección modal en los traslados hacia los centros de trabajo y educativos a partir de una encuesta realizada a 137 Áreas Geoestadísticas Básicas Urbanas (AGEB). Los resultados muestran que las AGEB con poblaciones entre 800 y más de 2400 habitantes previo y posterior a la pandemia Covid-19 utilizaron como uno de sus principales medios de movilidad hacia los centros de trabajo y educativos el transporte público y los desplazamientos a pie, mientras que la población de 65 años y más en AGEB con una densidad menor a 799 habitantes utilizan los desplazamientos a pie como principal medio de traslado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze urban mobility in the Metropolitan Area of &#8203;&#8203;Tulancingo Hidalgo, Mexico. Using statistical techniques such as analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Kruskal-Wallis test, the modal choice in commuting to work and educational centers is investigated from a survey of 137 Urban Basic Geostatistical Areas (AGEB). The results show that the AGEB with populations between 800 and more than 2400 inhabitants before and after the Covid-19 pandemic used public transport and walking as one of their main means of mobility to work and educational centers, while that the population aged 65 and over in AGEB with a density of less than 799 inhabitants use walking as the main transportation.]]></p></abstract>
