En los últimos años se ha evidenciado que existen diferentes modelos experimentales capaces de reproducir esta enfermedad, los cuales contribuyen al conocimiento de aspectos fisiopatológicos de la enfermedad y permiten dilucidar los mecanismos de acción de nuevos tratamientos a evaluar. Por tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo de revisión es describir algunos de los modelos experimentales empleados para el estudio de la dermatitis atópica. Para ello se recopiló toda la información publicada que se encontró disponible en la base de datos de PubMed. Esta revisión, brinda un adelanto del progreso científico que vincula la especie de animal de laboratorio utilizado, el tipo de agente inductor y las posibles respuestas obtenidas que reflejan o mimetizan las manifestaciones clínicas de la enfermedad. El empleo de los modelos animales, sin duda, constituyen una herramienta fundamental para la búsqueda científica y el conocimiento de la dermatitis atópica. Se concluye que este documento aporta información actualizada respecto a los diversos modelos animales más utilizados en la dermatitis atópica, lo cual constituye una herramienta de consulta para la investigación científica en esta temática]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Atopic dermatitis is a skin multifactorial inflammatory disease, which triggered as result of, environmental factors and genetic susceptibility interaction. In recent years, it has been shown that there are different experimental models capable of reproducing this disease and using the knowledge of pathophysiological aspects of the pathology and elucidating the action mechanisms of new treatments to evaluate. Therefore, the objective of this review work is to describe some of the experimental models used for the study of atopic dermatitis. For this, all the published information that was available in the PubMed data base was collected. This review provides a preview of scientific progress that links the species of laboratory animal used, the type of inducing agent and the possible responses obtained that reflect the clinical manifestations of the disease. The use fullness of animal models undoubtedly constitutes a fundamental tool for the scientific search and knowledge of atopic dermatitis. It is concluded that this document provides updated information regarding the various animal models most used in atopic dermatitis, which constitutes a consult tool for scientific research on this subject.]]></p></abstract>
