<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2224-61852019000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2224-61852019000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2224-61852019000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[ RESUMEN Una planta de fabricación de moldeados de pulpa, recientemente puesta en marcha, presenta riesgos técnicos potenciales asociados al proceso de transferencia tecnológica, que pueden limitar los beneficios económicos y los indicadores de eficiencia del proceso. El objetivo del presente trabajo es evaluar la tecnología de producción de fibra moldeada mediante la implementación de un modelo de evaluación tecnológica. El modelo incluye la aplicación de los balances de agua y fibra, de calor y de energía mecánica; la evaluación del diseño y la operación de equipos, tales como el horno, la torre de enfriamiento, el sistema de flotación por aire disuelto y el sistema de tuberías, con el uso de los software DesDaf y dP. El proceso se evalúa con el simulador TIBCO Business Studio, el cual facilita el examen de criterios técnicos y económicos que contribuyen a la toma de decisiones. La implementación del modelo hizo posible la verificación de la magnitud de las variables de diseño y de operación de los equipos instalados, la identificación de las deficiencias potenciales de la tecnología y la propuesta de corrección de una deficiencia en la tecnología con la correspondiente evaluación económica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A newly commissioned pulp moulding plant presents potential technical risks associated with the technology transfer process, which could limit the economic benefits and process efficiency indicators. The objective of the present work is to assess the production technology of moulded fibre by implementing a technology assessment model. The model includes the application of water and fiber, heat and mechanical energy balances; design and operation evaluation of equipment, such as oven, cooling tower, dissolved air flotation system and piping system, using DesDaf and dP software. The process is evaluated with TIBCO Business Studio simulator, which facilitates examination of technical and economic criteria that contribute to decision making. The implementation of the model made possible to verify the magnitude of the design and operating variables defined in plant documents, the identification of the potential deficiencies of the technology and the proposal of correction of a deficiency in the technology with the corresponding economic evaluation.]]></p></abstract>
