<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000300564&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000300564&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2224-61852020000300564&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Con el objetivo de evaluar el funcionamiento del filtro de arcilla doméstico tradiFILTRO, en condiciones de campo, se procesaron estadísticamente datos de muestras de agua de tasa de filtración de las unidades filtrantes, tomados en el Centro Integrado de Tecnologías del Agua (CITA), en el proceso de evaluación de la calidad de los filtros. Se encontraron concentraciones de nitratos, nitritos, coliformes totales y Escherichia coli en el agua cruda, superiores a las requeridas para fuentes de agua potable. La remoción de la turbidez fue de 97 a 100%, la reducción log10 de coliformes totales y E.coli fueron de 3,26 y 2,72, respectivamente. La tasa de filtración se encontró en el rango de 1,65 - 3 L/h (x &#773; = 1,7 L / h). Se constató un incremento del pH y de los carbonatos, lo cual no pone en riesgo la salud de los consumidores.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT To evaluate household clay filter tradiFILTRO performance, under field conditions, samples of water processed by National Enterprise of Analysis and Technical Services of physico chemical characteristic were statistically processed, as well as filtration rate data taken by Integrated Center of Water Technologies in evaluation process of filters quality. Concentrations of nitrates, nitrites, total coliforms and Escherichia coli were foundin raw water, higher than those required for drinking water sources. The removal of turbidity was 97 - 100%, the log10 reduction of total coliforms and E. coli were 3,26 and 2,72 respectively. The filtration rate was found in the range of 1,65 - 3 L / h (x &#773; = 1,7 L / h). An increase in pH and carbonates was found, which does not put the health of consumers at risk.]]></p></abstract>
