Objetivo  de la investigación fue evaluar el efecto de un biopreparado de microorganismos eficientes autóctonos de Guantánamo (MEAG) en indicadores bioproductivos y hematológicos de crías porcinas.  Métodos: Se utilizaron 96 crías (Duroc/CC21) desde su nacimiento y peso de 1,55±0,27 kg, que se distribuyeron según diseño completamente aleatorizado en cuatro grupos, con 24 repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron control y adición del biopreparado en dosis de 2,0; 10,0 y 20,0 mL.kg-1 de pesos vivo/día, vía oral. El experimento duró 33 días y se analizaron los indicadores peso vivo final, incremento de peso, ganancia media diaria, conversión alimentaria, mortalidad, morbilidad, hemoglobina, hematocrito, leucocitos totales, eosinófilos, linfocitos y monocitos. Se realizó un análisis de varianza simple, las diferencias entre medias se detectaron con el test de rangos múltiples.  Resultados: Se obtuvieron los resultados superiores (p&lt;0,05) en dosis de 2,0 mL del biopreparado de MEAG/kg de peso vivo, para las variables peso vivo final e incremento de peso (0,59; 0,70 y 0,66 kg), ganancia media diaria e inferior en la conversión alimentaria, al control y los tratamientos dos y tres. Solo para la morbilidad se detectaron diferencias entre los animales del grupo control y el tratamiento tres, sin diferencias entre los dos grupos restantes. Los valores hematológicos aumentaron al incrementar las dosis, pero en el rango normal.  Conclusiones: Se concluye que el uso del biopreparado de MEAG como aditivo alimenticio mejora los indicadores bioproductivos y hematológicos de crías porcinas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Background: Efficient microorganisms offer a broad application spectrum in crop and animal production.  Aim  to evaluate the effect of a biopreparation containing autochthonous efficient microorganisms in Guantanamo (MEAG), Cuba, on the bioproductive and hematologic parameters of swine herds.  Methods: A total of 96 animals (Duroc/CC21) weighing 1.55±0.27 kg were included in the experiment since birth, and distributed in four groups with 24 repetitions, following a completely randomized design. The treatments consisted in the control and addition of the biopreparation, in 2.0, 10.0, and 20.0 mL.kg-1 doses live weight/day, orally. The experiment lasted 33 days, and the final weight, weight gain, mean daily gain, feed conversion, mortality, morbidity, hemoglobin, hematocrit, total leucocytes, eosinophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes were analyzed. A simple analysis of variance was performed, and the mean differences were detected using the multiple range test.  Results: The results were better (p&lt;0.05) in the 2.0 mL dose of the MEAG/kg live weight biopreparation associated with final live weight and weight gain (0.59; 0.70, and 0.66 kg), and mean daily gain; whereas it was lower in feed conversion in the control and treatments two and three. In morbidity alone, differences between the control group and treatment three were observed, though no differences were detected between the two remaining groups. The hematological values rose with larger doses, but within the normal range.  Conclusions: The utilization of MEAG as a feed additive improves the bioproductive and hematological parameters of swine herds.]]></p></abstract>
