El uso profiláctico y terapéutico de antibióticos no es la solución.  Objetivo.  analizar las interacciones entre el receptor de hidrocarburos de arilo (AHR) y la microbiota (favorecida por el uso de probióticos) en una mejoría de los indicadores de salud y productivos en cerdos (crías y precebas).  Desarrollo:  Las enteropatías (colibacilosis y salmonelosis) son una causa importante y frecuente de mortalidad de crías y precebas en los sistemas intensivos de crianza porcina. El receptor &#8220;aryl hydrocarbon&#8221; (AHR) es un factor de transcripción (dependiente de ligandos) que se expresa ampliamente en las células inmunes, epiteliales, endoteliales, estromales y en tejidos. Es un regulador de la simbiosis microbio-huésped por su activación por los ligandos de la dieta. El eje AHR-IL-22 (eje aryl hydrocarbon - interleucina -22) en el intestino desempeña un papel importante en la defensa del huésped contra los patógenos microbianos, al mismo tiempo que garantiza la resistencia a estas enfermedades.  Conclusiones:  los receptores AHR son importantes para restaurar los daños que pueden deberse a patógenos o a dietas indebidas en cerdos luego del destete al propiciar el restablecimiento y estabilidad de la microbiota intestinal que asociado al uso de los probióticos pueden promover respuestas favorables en los indicadores productivos y de salud de las crías y precebas porcinas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  the presence of an ever-growing number of gastrointestinal pathogens is causing economic losses to the swine industry. The prophylactic and therapeutic uses of antibiotics is not the solution. Aim. To analyze the interactions between the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) and the microbiota (enhanced through probiotic use), which have improved the health and production indicators of pigs (piglets and pre-fattening).  Development:  Enteropathies (colibacillosis and salmonellosis) are a significant and frequent cause of mortality of piglets and pre-fattening pigs in intensive breeding systems. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is a transcription factor (ligand-dependent) which is widely expressed in immune, epithelial, endothelial, stromal cells, and tissue. It regulates the microbe-host symbiosis by ligand activation in the diet. The AHR-IL-22 axis (aryl-hydrocarbon receptor-inteleukin-22 axis) in the intestine plays an important role in the defense of the host against microbial pathogens, while providing resistance to these diseases.  Conclusions:  the AHR receptors are important in the restoration of damage possibly caused by pathogens or an inappropriate diet in postweaning pigs, by re-establishing and creating stability in the intestinal microbiota; the utilization of probiotics, may lead to favorable responses of the production and health indicators of piglets and pre-fattening pigs.]]></p></abstract>
