Se establecieron 10 transectos de 10 x 50 m., se tomaron datos de todos los individuos e» 10 cm. de diámetro a la altura de pecho, y se determinó la riqueza forestal, características estructurales, índices de valor de importancia e índices de diversidad. Se registraron un aproximado de 672 individuos/ha. agrupados en 25 familias, 37 géneros y 42 especies. Las familias con mayor riqueza son Meliacea, Lauracea, Mimosaceae. El bosque presenta un área basal de 39,4 m2/ha.; y un volumen de 255,3 m3/ha. Las especies con mayor índice de valor de importancia son Guarea kunthiana, Inga spp, Nectandra guadaripo, Pourouma minor, Chrysophyllum argenteum; el estrato superior está representado por Pourouma minor, Vochysia ferruginea y Dussia lehmannii, el estrato codominado, por Guarea kunthiana, Miconia sp. Nectandra guadaripo y el estrato suprimido, por Simarouba amara, Virola elongata. Los árboles se agrupan en 11 clases diamétricas de las cuales las tres primeras abarcan el mayor número de individuos (84,5 %). La distribución diamétrica está formada por individuos jóvenes y delgados. De acuerdo con los atributos y características estructurales del bosque, se determinó que el área de estudio tiene rasgos excepcionales, capaz de motivar por sí solo o en conjunto con otros atractivos contiguos, una corriente actual o potencial de visitantes nacionales o extranjeros.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The present study focused on determining the composition and diversity of arboreal vegetation for tourism promotion purposes and generate technical information in which the attributes of the forest resource to carry out this activity are sustained. Ten transects of 10 x 50 m were established, data of all individuals e» 10 cm in diameter were taken at breast height, and forest wealth, structural characteristics, importance value indices and diversity indices were determined. An approximate of 672 individuals / ha was recorded. grouped into 25 families, 37 genera and 42 species. The richest families are Meliacea, Lauracea, Mimosaceae. The forest presents a basal area of 39,4 m2 / ha; and a volume of 255,3 m3 / ha. The species with the highest importance value index are Guarea kunthiana, Inga spp, Nectandra guadaripo, Pourouma minor, Chrysophyllum argenteum, the upper stratum is represented by Pourouma minor, Vochysia ferruginea and Dussia lehmannii the stratum co-dominated by Guarea kunthiana, Miconia sp. Nectandra guadaripo and the stratum suppressed by Simarouba amara, Virola elongata. The trees are grouped into 11 diametric classes, of which the first three cover the largest number of individuals (84.5%). The diametric distribution is formed by young and thin individuals. According to the attributes and structural characteristics of the forest, it was determined that the study area has exceptional features, capable of motivating on its own or in conjunction with other contiguous attractions, a current or potential current of national or foreign visitors.]]></p></abstract>
