La recuperación económica ha estado influida, además, por múltiples factores y condiciones, entre ellos la persistencia de la crisis sanitaria. A un año de la llegada a la presidencia de Joseph Biden, el propósito de estas páginas es presentar una panorámica del comportamiento de la economía de Estados Unidos en el 2021 a partir de sus principales indicadores macroeconómicos, e identificar sus desafíos actuales, que, por su tamaño y función de centro del capitalismo, tienen gran repercusión para la economía internacional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT After the 2020 recession associated with the covid-19 pandemic, the US economy grew by 5.7 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2021 compared to the previous year, mainly due to the great fiscal expansion. The economic recovery has also been influenced by multiple factors and conditions, including the persistence of the health crisis. One year after the arrival to the presidency of Joseph Biden, the purpose of these pages is to present an overview of the behavior of the United States economy in 2021 based on its main macroeconomic indicators and identify its current challenges, which due to their size and central function of capitalism have great repercussions for the international economy.]]></p></abstract>
