El objetivo del presente fue la determinación de la respuesta morfofisiológica de cuatro cultivares comerciales de frijol común (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) en época tardía, sobre dos tipos de suelos del municipio Remedios. Los experimentos de campo fueron conducidos en la Granja Agropecuaria &#8220;Liberación de Remedios&#8221; ubicada sobre un suelo Ferralítico rojo compactado y la Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios &#8220;Celestino Gutiérrez&#8221;, enmarcada sobre un suelo Pardo mullido carbonatado. El diseño experimental utilizado fue bloques al azar, compuesto por cuatro tratamientos (cultivares) y cuatro réplicas. La evaluación de altura y cantidad de foliolos se le realizó a una muestra tomada al azar de 50 plantas por cada parcela; las muestras para las demás variables fueron de 10 plantas por parcela. Los indicadores morfofisiológicos fueron: altura, cantidad de foliolos, área foliar, masa fresca y masa seca total. Todas las variables evaluadas resultaron ser superiores significativamente en el área con suelo Pardo mullido carbonatado, lo que pudo influir en la respuesta morfofisiológica de los cultivares comerciales estudiados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The regionalization studies of common bean genotypes are very important, having in to account the specific interaction between genotype and environment. The objective of this work was to determine the morphophysiological response of four commercial cultivars of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in late planting season in two types of soil at Remedios municipality. The experiments were developed in La Granja Agropecuaria "Liberación de Remedios" whose soil is red ferralitic compacted and in the Agricultural Cooperative of Credits and Services "Celestino Gutiérrez" with a soft carbonated brown soil. The plant morphophysiological indicators evaluated were height. number of leaflets, leaf area, total fresh and dry mass. For the study, an experimental random block design was used, consisting of four treatments (cultivars) and four replications. For each evaluation, a random sample of 50 plants per plot was taken. All variables evaluated were significantly higher in soft carbonated brown soil. Notable differences were observed among soil types, mainly in the acidity of the soil, which could influence the morphophysiological response of the commercial cultivars studied.]]></p></abstract>
