<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0253-57852020000100038&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0253-57852020000100038&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0253-57852020000100038&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La necesidad de eliminar los productos químicos y la búsqueda de alternativas ecológicas para el control de plagas en los granos almacenados basado en polvos vegetales, motivó la determinación del efecto de polvos molinados de Piper auritum Kunth sobre Sitophilus oryzae L. para esto P. auritum fue preparado en diferentes variantes y temperaturas de secado, en dos fases fenológicas: vegetativa y reproducción-floración, secadas al sol y la sombra, en tres temperaturas (35, 45 y 60 °C). Se colocaron seis insectos en cuatro réplicas por cada tratamiento, se anotaron y compararon las muertes causadas en los tratamientos. En el estado fenológico vegetativo, secado al sol, las mejores eficacias del polvo de P. auritum se obtuvieron cuando el material fue secado a 45 y 60 °C, con 38 y 45 % de mortalidad respectivamente, mientras a la sombra, el material secado a 35 °C logró el 100 % de mortalidad, siendo este el mejor tratamiento de todos. Las hojas de esta planta (secadas a la sombra y molinadas) pueden ser utilizadas para el control de S. oryzae en granos almacenados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The need to eliminate chemical products and the search for ecological alternatives for the control of pests in stored grains based on vegetable powders, motivated the determination of the effect of milled powders of Piper auritum Kunth on Sitophilus oryzae L. for this P. auritum was prepared in different variants and drying temperatures, in two phenological phases: vegetative and reproduction-flowering, dried in the sun and shade, in three temperatures (35, 45 and 60 ° C). Six insects were placed in four replicates for each treatment, the deaths caused in the treatments were recorded and compared. In the vegetative phenological state, dried in the sun, the best efficiencies of P. auritum powder were obtained when the material was dried at 45 and 60 ° C, with 38 and 45 % mortality respectively, while in the shade, the dried material at 35 ° C he achieved 100 % mortality, this being the best treatment of all. The leaves of this plant (dried in the shade and milled) can be used for the control of S. oryzae in stored grains.]]></p></abstract>
