Los muestreos se realizaron según la metodología descrita por el Centro Nacional de Sanidad Vegetal y la eficacia se determinó por la fórmula de Henderson-Tifton. El tratamiento con el virus mezclado con ácido bórico y OleoNim disminuye la infestación de larvas por plantas con dosis inferiores a 1012 CI ha-1 aumenta la mortalidad de las larvas en 2,5 y 2,16 veces respectivamente. La mezcla del ácido bórico y OleoNim con el virus mejora significativamente su eficacia en el control poblacional de la plaga.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This investigation had as end to determine the effectiveness of the nucleopolyhedroviru of S. frugiperda in mixture with helping substances under field conditions, an experimental design of blocks was used embracing a dear experimental area of 17 x 47 m at random (799 m2). The samplings were carried out according to the methodology described by the National Center of Vegetable Sanity and the effectiveness was determined by the formula of Henderson-Tifton. The treatment with the blended virus with boric acid and OleoNim diminishes the infestation of larvas for plants with inferior dose to 1012 IC have-1 it increases the mortality of the larvas respectively in 2,5 and 2,16 times. The mixture of the boric acid and OleoNim with the virus improve their effectiveness significantly in the population control of the plague.]]></p></abstract>
