Este artículo pone en valor los aportes de la actividad investigativa de docentes y estudiantes de Historia del Arte de la Universidad de La Habana sobre este importante segmento de la historia del arte nacional. El texto comporta la valoración crítica de toda una producción científica que constituye hoy día parte esencial del caudal bibliográfico sobre la materia en nuestro país.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The review of the historiography of Cuban art reflects the shortcomings of sculpture as one of the least studied manifestations of visual arts. This article puts the value the contributions that the research activity of teachers and students of art history of the University of Havana have contributed to this important segment of the history of national art. The text involves the critical assessment of a whole scientific production that constitutes an essential part of the bibliographic flow on the subject in our country.]]></p></abstract>
