Partiendo de esta controversia, se revisan y critican algunas ideas muy arraigadas en la concepción de los estudios clásicos como disciplina a partir de algunos de sus más importantes referentes, la Paideia, de Jaeger, y La tradición clásica, de Highet.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This text is a critical reflection on the controversy surrounding the fact that the character of Achilles, in the BBC series Troy: Fall of a City, has been played by the black actor David Gyasi. Based on this controversy, some ideas deeply rooted in the conception of classical studies as a discipline are reviewed and criticized by examining some ideas displayed in two very important texts, Jaeger's Paideia and Highet's The Classical Tradition.]]></p></abstract>
