La utilización de muy diversos productos químicos en la producción agrícola para controlar plagas y enfermedades, para disminuir riesgos y pérdidas de los sistemas agrícolas, ha sido un reto permanente. El uso de tales productos se debe a las propiedades biocidas y selectividad que poseen. El objetivo fue evaluar presencia de residuos de plaguicidas en el jugo y parámetros de calidad de frutos mediante características fisicoquímicas. Se realizaron tres muestreos en dos años consecutivos recolectando muestras con cinco repeticiones, evaluándose presencia de residuos de pesticidas piretroides (cipermetrina, deltametrina, alfacipermetrina, lambdacihalotrina) carbamatos (aldicarb, carbofuran) y organoclorados (endosulfan) y las variables: espesor de corteza, diámetro ecuatorial, masa fresca, contenido y porcentaje de jugo, sólidos solubles totales, acidez total e índice de madurez. Las frutas no presentaron residuos de pesticidas detectables. Los parámetros de calidad de frutos de naranja Valencia, mandarinas Nova, Murcott y limón Eureka presentaron adecuado tamaño de fruto, elevada cantidad de jugo y °Brix que superan los niveles estándares. Los mayores valores de jugo e índice de madurez se encontraron en naranja y mandarinas resultando de interés tanto para consumo fresco como industria.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Corrientes, among the main citrus producing provinces, contributes 23 % to the national production. The use of very diverse chemical products in the agricultural production to control plagues and diseases, to diminish risks and losses of the agricultural systems, has been a permanent challenge. The use of such products is due to the biocidal properties and their selectivity. The objective was to evaluate the presence of pesticide residues in the juice and parameters of fruit quality by physicochemical characteristics. Three samples were taken in two consecutive years collecting samples by five replicates, evaluating the presence of residues of pyrethroid pesticides (cypermethrin, deltamethrin, alphacypermethrin, lambdacyhalthrine) carbamates (aldicarb, carbofuran) and organochlorines (endosulfan) and the variables: bark thickness, diameter equatorial, fresh mass, content and percentage of juice, total soluble solids, total acidity and maturity index. The fruits did not present detectable toxic residues. The quality parameters of Valencia orange fruit, mandarins Nova, Murcott and lemon Eureka presented adequate fruit size, high amount of juice and °Brix that exceed the standard levels. The highest juice values and maturity index were found in orange and tangerines, which were of interest for both, fresh consumption and industry.]]></p></abstract>
