Actualmente la tendencia en la agricultura es disminuir la aplicación de químicos y dentro de ellos están los fertilizantes que contaminan suelos y aguas, por lo que la adopción de nuevas tecnologías y otras no tan nuevas se está haciendo un buen hábito entre los agricultores. La nanotecnología en el sistema planta permite desarrollar nuevos fertilizantes para mejorar la productividad agrícola y la liberación de nutrientes minerales en nanoformas, lo que posee una gran variedad de beneficios, incluyendo el momento y la directa liberación de los nutrientes, además que sincroniza o específica la respuesta ambiental. Los biofertilizantes son componentes importantes del manejo integrado de nutrientes y desempeñan un papel clave en la productividad y la sostenibilidad del suelo. Al tiempo que protegen el medio ambiente, siendo una fuente rentable, ecológica y renovable de nutrientes vegetales para complementar los fertilizantes químicos en el sistema agrícola sostenible. La nanotecnología y la biofertilización permiten de forma práctica la reducción en la aplicación de químicos, contribuyendo a la sostenibilidad de la agricultura, por lo que este trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar una revisión de los resultados relevantes sobre biofertilización, el uso de la nanotecnología y la evaluación de la composición nutricional de la alfalfa al cultivarse con la aplicación de biofertilizantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Alfalfa is considered the most widely used fodder crop in the world, its main use is to feed cattle due to its high nutritional value, specifically in protein and digestible fiber. Currently the trend in agriculture is to decrease the application of chemicals and within them are fertilizers because they pollute soil and water, so the adoption of new technologies and others not so new is becoming a good habit among farmers. Nanotechnology in the plant system allows the development of new fertilizers to improve agricultural productivity and the release of mineral nutrients in nanoforms, which has a wide variety of benefits, including timing and direct release of nutrients and synchronization or specific environmental response. Biofertilizers are important components of integrated nutrient management and play a key role in productivity, soil sustainability while protecting the environment, being a profitable, ecological and renewable source of plant nutrients to complement chemical fertilizers in the sustainable agricultural system. Nanotechnology and biofertilization practically allows the reduction in the application of chemicals contributing to the sustainability of agriculture, so this work aims to review the most relevant results on biofertilization, the use of nanotechnology and the evaluation of the nutritional composition of alfalfa when cultivated with the application of biofertilizers.]]></p></abstract>
