Alberto Ramos Ruiz</i>     <p>Los ensayos de mutagenicidad que emplean al hongo ascomiceto  <i>Aspergillus nidulans</i> permiten evaluar varios tipos de da&ntilde;o gen&eacute;tico:  mutaciones puntuales, aneuploid&iacute;a y clastog&eacute;nesis.<sup>1,2</sup>  La prueba para mutaciones g&eacute;nicas cuantifica la frecuencia de supresores  del locus <i>methG1</i> en mutantes auxotr&oacute;ficos para metionina.<sup>2</sup>  Hoy d&iacute;a ha sido superado por pruebas m&aacute;s sensibles y eficientes  (<i>test</i> de Ames). Para evidenciar efectos cromos&oacute;micos (mala segregaci&oacute;n,  haploidizaci&oacute;n, ciertas aberraciones estructurales, crossing-over mit&oacute;tico)  se emplea a&uacute;n el ensayo de segregaci&oacute;n mit&oacute;tica en diploides  heterocig&oacute;ticos para mutaciones recesivas del color de los conidios.<sup>1,3,4</sup>  &Eacute;ste emplea cepas con marcadores para diferenciar entre crossover y no  disyunci&oacute;n, determinar la ploid&iacute;a y seguir los patrones de segregaci&oacute;n.<sup>4</sup>  Su realizaci&oacute;n es laboriosa, pero est&aacute; compensada por el apreciable  volumen de informaci&oacute;n que puede derivarse.<sup>5</sup> Se considera una  prueba complementaria dentro de las bater&iacute;as de genotoxicidad con mayores  perspectivas en la elucidaci&oacute;n de efectos espec&iacute;ficos como la inducci&oacute;n  de aneuploid&iacute;a y su aplicaci&oacute;n a estudios mecan&iacute;sticos y  correlaciones de estructura-actividad en ciertas familias qu&iacute;micas.<sup>6</sup>  <h4> Referencias bibliogr&aacute;ficas</h4><ol>     <!-- ref --><li> K&auml;fer E, Scott BR, Dorn  GL, Stafford R. <i>Aspergillus nidulans</i>: systems and results of tests for  chemical induction of mitotic segregation and mutation I.
