Phytopathological    evaluations were carried out at the experimental area of the National Institute    for Agricultural Sciences (INCA), San Jos&eacute; de las Lajas, Havana Province,    for two years. For the first time in the country, the presence of disease causal    agents <I>Helminthosporium sativum</I> P.K. &amp; B., on leaves and spikes;    <I>Fusarium culmorum </I>(W.G. Smith) Sacc., on spike; <I>Puccinia graminis</I>    Pers. and <I>Curvularia</I> sp., on spike, were detected in these cultures.    According to distribution and damage, the most important phytopathogens were    <I>H. sativum</I> and <I>F. culmorum </I>for wheat and the first one for Triticales.    </font>     <P>     ]]></body>
