Mediante la técnica de cultivo dual se evaluó el antagonismo in vitro de las especies autóctonas obtenidas y de las especies de referencia Trichoderma harzianum Rifai 3(A-34)2 y Trichoderma viride Persoon 5(TS-3)1 contra los hongos fitopatógenos Rhizoctonia solani Kühn, Fusarium spp. y Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc., causantes de enfermedades en cultivos agrícolas de la provincia. Se determinaron el crecimiento lineal diario (radios de las colonias), la velocidad de crecimiento y el porcentaje de inhibición del crecimiento radial (PICR) de los antagonistas. Sus valores se procesaron mediante Análisis de Varianza Simple. Las cepas autóctonas de Trichoderma aisladas e identificadas fueron Trichoderma 2T-aislado, T. harzianum 6(A-53)2 y T. viride 4(TS-3)1, de las cuales, Trichoderma 2T-aislado resultó el antagonista in vitro más eficiente contra los tres hongos fitopatógenos, seguida de T. viride 4(TS-3)1 (biocontrolador de R. solani y S. rolfsii y con menor capacidad antagónica contra Fusarium spp.) y T. harzianum 6(A-53)2. Entre las cepas de referencia, T. harzianum 3(A-34)2 presentó el mayor antagonismo contra estos hongos. Tanto las cepas autóctonas como las de referencia, presentaron diferentes niveles de actividad antagónica in vitro contra los fitopatógenos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A survey was carried out in two agroecosystems with a red ferralitic soil in the province of Matanzas, Cuba, to isolate, identify and evaluate autochthonous strains of Trichoderma spp. From only one of the ecosystems, three autochthonous strains of this fungal species were isolated and identified. The in vitro antagonism of the autochthonous species obtained and of the reference species Trichoderma harzianum Rifai 3 (A-34) 2 and Trichoderma viride Persoon 5 (TS-3) 1 against the phytopathogenic fungi Rhizoctonia solani Kühn, Fusarium spp., and Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc., causal agents of crop diseases in the province, was evaluated using the dual culture technique. The daily linear growth (colony radii ), growth rate and percentage of radial growth inhibition (PICR) of the antagonists were determined. Their values were processed by Simple Variance Analysis. Trichoderma autochthonous strains isolated and identified were Trichoderma 2T-isolate, T. harzianum 6 (A-53) 2 and T. viride 4 (TS-3) 1, of which, Trichoderma 2T-isolate was the most efficient in vitro antagonist against the three phytopathogenic fungi, followed by T. viride 4 (TS-3) 1 (biocontroller of R. solani and S. rolfsii and with less antagonistic capacity against Fusarium spp.) and T. harzianum 6 (A-53) 2. Among the reference strains, T. harzianum 3 (A-34) 2 presented the greatest antagonism against these fungi. Both autochthonous and reference strains showed different levels of in vitro antagonistic activity agains tthe phytopathogens.]]></p></abstract>
