<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1010-27522019000100003&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1010-27522019000100003&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1010-27522019000100003&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este estudio se realizó en Angola con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de 19 genotipos foráneos y 21 nacionales de yuca (Manihot esculenta Crantz) frente al mosaico africano de la yuca (CMD-del inglés Cassava Mosaic Disease). Se analizaron la incidencia y la severidad del CMD. Se realizaron muestreos del total de plantas sembradas, de cada genotipo, en la Estación Experimental Agrícola de Namibe, Angola, en los periodos de febrero de 2017, junio de 2017 y febrero de 2018. La densidad de adultos de moscas blancas por genotipos se promedió para calcular el índice de densidad en cada fecha, y los datos se analizaron mediante análisis de varianza simple y se compararon (Duncan, nivel de confianza del 95 %). Se efectuó un análisis de conglomerados, lo que evidenció que los genotipos se agrupan de acuerdo a la severidad. Se detectaron genotipos con índices de severidad alto (0,8-1); sin embargo, TMS-84004, TMS-0276, TMS-300027, TMS-40142, TMS-800098, TMS-3021, TMS-300027, TMS-42025, Mz-3, Kassakala y Canfufu, tuvieron los valores de índices de severidad más bajos (0.2). Este resultado permitió sugerir genotipos que, en condiciones de alta densidad del vector, alcanzaron menores índices de severidad de la enfermedad, los cuales pueden ser usados bajo adecuadas condiciones de manejo de la enfermedad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The response of 19 foreign genotypes and 21 national genotypes to the African cassava mosaic virus (ACMV) was evaluated, and the disease incidence and severity were analyzed. The total number of the plants planted by genotypes at the Namibe Agricultural Experiment Station, Angola, was sampled in February 2017, June 2017, and February 2018. The whitefly adult density per genotype was averaged to calculate the density index on each date, which was compared using a simple analysis of variance and the Duncan´s multiple range test for a confidence level of 95 %. The cluster analysis showed that the genotypes were grouped according to the disease severity. Some genotypes were detected with high severity indexes (0.8-1); however, TMS-84004, TMS-0276, TMS-300027, TMS-40142, TMS-800098, TMS-3021, TMS-300027, TMS-42025, Mz-3, Kassakala, and Canfufu, showed severity indexes of 0.2, the lowest index obtained. This result allowed suggesting genotypes that under high vector density conditions showed lower rates of disease severity, which can be used under adequate pest management conditions.]]></p></abstract>
