Objetivo: determinar las percepciones y actitudes de profesores de la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Camagüey y poder valorar las medidas de adaptación para enfrentar el desafío progresivo del cambio climático.  Métodos:  se conformó y aplicó un cuestionario durante el mes de enero de 2019, al mismo se le realizó la prueba de confiabilidad Alpha de Cronbach, se determinaron las frecuencias absolutas y relativas, y los estadígrafos de tendencia central y dispersión de acuerdo a las variables. Se hizo un análisis de correlación Spearman entre las variables demográficas y la de adaptación al cambio climático y luego uno de regresión logística para valorar efectos de las variables demográficas sobre la adaptación al cambio climático. Todos los análisis se realizaron con el programa R.  Resultados:  se calcularon las frecuencias absolutas y relativas que reflejan conocimientos por parte del claustro del efecto del cambio climático sobre la salud, sus conocimientos de adaptación e investigación para enfrentar las enfermedades infecciosas relacionadas con el cambio climático. Se determinaron los estadígrafos de las variables demográficas y la correlación y el efecto de estas variables sobre la capacidad de adaptación.  Conclusiones: se evidenció la necesidad de superación intersectorial y transdisciplinaria del claustro de la universidad sobre la interrelación entre el cambio climático y la salud pública.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Background:  the climatic change influences the ecosystems, the production of food, the supply of water and the health.  Objective:  to determine the perceptions and attitudes of professors of the University of Medical Sciences necessaries for the adaptation in order to face the progressive challenge of the climatic change.  Methods:  it was conformed and applied a questionnaire during the month of January of 2019, it was performed the test of reliability Alpha of Cronbach, there were also calculated the absolute and relative frequencies, and the stradigraphs of central tendency and dispersion were determined according to the variables. A correlation analysis Spearman was made between the demographic variables and the one from adaptation to the climatic change and then one of logistical regression to value effects of the demographic variables on the adaptation to the climatic change. All the analyses were carried out with the program R.  Results:  the absolute and relative frequencies were calculated and they reflect knowledge on the part of the cloister of the effect of the climatic change on health, their knowledge of adaptation and investigation to face the infectious illnesses related with the climatic change. The statisticians of the demographic variables and the correlation and the effect of these variables were determined about the capacity of adaptation.  Conclusions:  it was evidenced the necessity of inter-sectoral and trans-disciplinary cooperation of the University´s professors on the interrelation between the climatic change and the public health.]]></p></abstract>
