Se realizaron dos muestreos de sangre: antes de la aplicación de la primera dosis (T0) y 21 días después de la segunda dosis (T1). La IgG específica fue medida mediante un ELISA indirecto cuantitativo y su efecto protector se midió mediante un ensayo de protección pasiva en hámster. De acuerdo con el nivel de IgG específica medido por ELISA, se prepararon cuatro mezclas de sueros a evaluar. Entre las 18-24 h de inoculados los sueros, los hámsters se retaron frente a 1 000 -10 000 DL50 de los serovares canicola, copenhageni y mozdok, siendo observados durante 14 días. Coeficientes de correlación de 0,94 y 0,97 indicaron una fuerte relación entre el nivel de IgG y protección en el caso de canicola y mozdok respectivamente, para copenhageni se obtuvo un coeficiente de correlación de 0,83 indicativo de una moderadamente fuerte relación. El nivel de IgG específica medido en el suero de personas expuestas al riesgo natural está relacionado con la protección.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[As part of the characterisation studies of the human immune response induced in vaccinated people with vax-SPIRAL (Trivalent Antileptospirosic Vaccine), 109 and 69 voluntary people from the Universidad Agropecuaria and Centro Nacional de Sanidad Agropecuaria, Havana Province were vaccinated respectively. Two blood samples were taken, before vaccination (T0) and 21 days after the second dose (T1). The specific IgG response was measured by means a quantitative indirect ELISA and its protective effect was evaluated by a passive protection test in hamsters. Taking into consideration the ELISA results four pools of sera were prepared and inoculated into the hamsters. They were challenge 18-24 hours later with 1000 -10 000 DL50 of virulent strains of serovars canicola, copenhageni and mozdok. The animals were observed during 14 days. The correlation coefficient of 0.94 and 0.97 indicating a relatively strong relationship between the IgG level and protection for canicola and mozdok respectively, for copenhageni a correlation coefficient equals to 0,83 was obtained indicating a moderately strong relationship.
