Objetivo: descrever as complicações intra e pós-operatórias de acordo com o tipo de anestesia em cirurgia ambulatorial em pacientes atendidos na Clínica Meditex, na cidade de Luanda, Angola.  Métodos: foi realizado um estudo transversal, observacional, descritivo, no período de outubro de 2020 a outubro de 2021. A população do estudo foi composta por 95 pacientes maiores de 18 anos submetidos à cirurgia ambulatorial. As variáveis &#8203;&#8203;foram: idade, sexo, tipos de anestesia; pressão arterial; frequência cardíaca; saturação periférica de oxigênio; complicações intraoperatórias; complicações pós-operatórias.  Resultados: 58 pacientes eram do sexo masculino e a média geral de idade foi de 41,2 anos; a pressão arterial máxima apresentou média de 120,7 mmHg, a frequência cardíaca média foi de 78,0 e a saturação de oxigênio permaneceu elevada; o tipo de anestesia mais utilizada foi a raquianestesia (66,31%), onde 28,57% apresentavam hipotensão arterial; A náusea foi uma das complicações que mais ocorreram em 23 pacientes relatados, dos quais 33,33% receberam raquianestesia.  Conclusões: predominou o sexo masculino. Os valores de pressão arterial mínima e máxima, assim como a frequência cardíaca, mantiveram faixas de dispersão próximas de suas médias. A raquianestesia foi a técnica mais utilizada. Hipotensão e bradicardia foram as complicações intra-operatórias mais comuns. Náusea e hipotensão arterial apareceram como complicações pós-operatórias.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN  Introducción: la elección de la técnica anestésica idónea es aquella que proporciona una alta seguridad al paciente y una rápida recuperación al final de la intervención.  Objetivo:  describir las complicaciones intraoperatorias y postoperatorias según el tipo de anestesia en cirugía ambulatoria en pacientes atendidos en la Clínica Meditex, en la ciudad de Luanda, Angola.  Métodos: se realizó un estudio transversal, observacional, descriptivo desde octubre de 2020 hasta octubre de 2021. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 95 pacientes mayores de 18 años sometidos a cirugía ambulatoria. Las variables fueron: edad, sexo, tipos de anestesia; presión arterial; frecuencia cardiaca; saturación periférica de oxígeno; complicaciones intraoperatorias; complicaciones postoperatorias.  Resultados: 58 pacientes eran del sexo masculino y la edad media global fue de 41,2 años; la presión arterial máxima tuvo una media de 120,7 mmHg, la frecuencia cardíaca media fue de 78,0 y la saturación de oxígeno se mantuvo elevada; el tipo de anestesia más utilizado fue la raquianestesia (66,31%), donde el 28,57% presentaba hipotensión arterial; Las náuseas fueron una de las complicaciones más comunes en 23 pacientes informados, de los cuales el 33,33% recibió anestesia espinal.  Conclusiones: predominó el sexo masculino. Los valores mínimos y máximos de presión arterial, así como la frecuencia cardíaca, mantuvieron rangos de dispersión cercanos a sus promedios. La raquianestesia fue la técnica más utilizada. La hipotensión y la bradicardia fueron las complicaciones intraoperatorias más frecuentes. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction: the choice of the ideal anesthetic technique is one that provides high patient safety and rapid recovery at the end of the intervention.  Objective: to describe intraoperative and postoperative complications according to the type of anesthesia in outpatient surgery in patients treated at Clínica Meditex, in the city of Luanda, Angola.  Methods: a cross-sectional, observational, descriptive study was carried out from October 2020 to October 2021. The study population consisted of 95 patients over 18 years of age undergoing outpatient surgery. The variables were: age, sex, types of anesthesia; blood pressure; heart rate; peripheral oxygen saturation; intraoperative complications; postoperative complications.  Results: 58 patients were male and the general mean age was 41.2 years; maximum blood pressure had a mean of 120.7 mmHg, mean heart rate was 78.0 and oxygen saturation remained high; the most used type of anesthesia was spinal anesthesia (66.31%), where 28.57% had arterial hypotension; Nausea was one of the most common complications in 23 reported patients, of which 33.33% received spinal anesthesia.  Conclusions: the male sex predominated. Minimum and maximum blood pressure values, as well as heart rate, maintained dispersion ranges close to their averages. Spinal anesthesia was the most used technique. Hypotension and bradycardia were the most common intraoperative complications. Nausea and arterial hypotension appeared as postoperative complications.]]></p></abstract>
