Se llevó a cabo un estudio correlacional de tipo retrospectivo de casos incidentes a la Covid-19, para determinar la asociación entre la vacunación con inmunógenos contra el SARS-CoV-2 y la tasa de incidencia de casos confirmados. Se utilizó la regresión lineal para analizar la relación entre las variables, se calcularon el tamaño del efecto y la potencia estadística con intervalos de confianza del 95%. Durante el año 2021, se reportaron 1.629 casos confirmados de COVID-19 en Cauto Cristo, mientras que 16.171 pacientes recibieron el esquema completo de vacunación (3 dosis) con inmunógenos contra el SARS-CoV-2. El grupo de edad de más de 60 años presentó el mayor porcentaje de casos confirmados (20,1%), siendo las mujeres las más afectadas. La mayor tasa de incidencia se observó en los consultorios médicos de familia con mayor densidad poblacional. Los resultados de la regresión lineal fueron estadísticamente significativos, con un valor de F (1, 5) = 20,44 y p = 0,006. El coeficiente de determinación (R2) fue de 0,80, lo que indica una adecuada potencia estadística y tamaño del efecto. El indicador de Durbin-Watson se ubicó dentro del rango aceptable (2,30), lo que permite generalizar los datos obtenidos. La intervención con inmunógenos contra el SARS-CoV-2 en Cauto Cristo durante el año 2021 se asoció significativamente con la reducción de la tasa de incidencia acumulada de COVID-19. Además, se confirmó que la edad mayor de 60 años es un factor asociado a una mayor morbilidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 has been established as a pandemic control measure, despite the continued emergence of new waves of cases. A retrospective correlational study of incident cases to Covid-19 was carried out to determine the association between vaccination with immunogens against SARS-CoV-2 and the incidence rate of confirmed cases. We used linear regression to analyze the relationship between variables, calculated effect size and statistical power with 95% confidence intervals. During 2021, 1,629 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cauto Cristo, while 16,171 patients received the complete vaccination schedule (3 doses) with immunogens against SARS-CoV-2. The age group over 60 years had the highest percentage of confirmed cases (20.1%), with women being the most affected. The highest incidence rate was observed in family doctors' offices with the highest population density. The results of linear regression were statistically significant, with a value of F (1, 5) = 20.44 and p = 0.006. The coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.80, indicating adequate statistical power and effect size. The Durbin-Watson indicator was within the acceptable range (2.30), which allows generalizing the data obtained. The intervention with immunogens against SARS-CoV-2 in Cauto Cristo during the year 2021 was significantly associated with the reduction of the cumulative incidence rate of COVID-19. Um estudo correlacional retrospectivo de casos incidentes com Covid-19 foi realizado para determinar a associação entre a vacinação com imunógenos contra SARS-CoV-2 e a taxa de incidência de casos confirmados. Utilizou-se regressão linear para analisar a relação entre as variáveis, calculou-se o tamanho do efeito e o poder estatístico com intervalos de confiança de 95%. Durante o ano de 2021, foram notificados 1.629 casos confirmados de Covid-19 em Cauto Cristo, enquanto 16.171 pacientes receberam o esquema vacinal completo (3 doses) com imunizantes contra o SARS-CoV-2. A faixa etária acima de 60 anos apresentou o maior percentual de casos confirmados (20,1%), sendo as mulheres as mais acometidas. A maior taxa de incidência foi observada nos consultórios médicos de família com maior densidade populacional. Os resultados da regressão linear foram estatisticamente significantes, com valor de F (1, 5) = 20,44 e p = 0,006. O coeficiente de determinação (R2) foi de 0,80, indicando poder estatístico adequado e tamanho de efeito. O indicador de Durbin-Watson mostrou-se dentro da faixa aceitável (2,30), o que permite generalizar os dados obtidos.
