Objetivo: evaluar la utilidad del ASI en la identificación de factores pronósticos en la evolución del cáncer renal.  Método:  se realizó un estudio de casos y controles para la identificación de los factores pronósticos que inciden en la evolución del cáncer renal en los pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente &#8220;Hermanos Ameijeiras&#8221; de La Habana, de enero 2006 a enero 2016. Se aplicó esta técnica junto con la regresión logística binaria, la cual se consideró como &#8220;estándar de oro&#8221;.  Resultados: la regresión logística binaria identificó cuatro factores pronósticos, mientras que el análisis estadístico implicativo identificó nueve.  Conclusiones: el análisis estadístico implicativo resultó ser una técnica apropiada que complementa a la regresión logística en la identificación de factores pronósticos, permitiendo una interpretación más completa del fenómeno de la causalidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Introduction:  implicit statistical analysis (ASI) is a data mining technique, to model the quasi-implication between events and variables of a data set.  Objective:  to evaluate the utility of ASI in the identification of prognostic factors in evolution of renal cancer.  Method:  a case-control study was carried out to identify the prognostic factors that influence the evolution of renal cancer in patients treated at the Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital "Hermanos Ameijeiras" in Havana, January 2006 to January 2016. This technique was applied together with the binary logistic regression, which was considered as a gold standard.  Results:  the binary logistic regression identified four prognostic factors, while the implicative statistical analysis identified nine.  Conclusions:  the implicative statistical analysis proved to be an appropriate technique, which complements the logistic regression in the identification of prognostic factors, allowing a more complete interpretation of the phenomenon of causality.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO  Introdução:  a análise estatística implicative (ASI) é uma técnica de mineração de dados, modelagem do quasi-implicação entre os eventos e as variáveis de um conjunto de datos.  Objetivo:  avaliar a utilidade da ASI na identificação de fatores prognósticos em evolução câncer renal.  Método:  um estudo de casos e controles para identificar fatores prognósticos que afetam a evolução do câncer renal em pacientes tratados no "Hermanos Ameijeiras" Clínica cirúrgica Hospital de Ensino de Havana, realizada janeiro 2006 a janeiro 2016. Se aplicado esta técnica com regressão logística binária, que foi considerado como oro.  Resultados:  regressão logística binária identificou quatro preditores, enquanto os nueve.
