Para aplicarlos es necesario establecer las condiciones de oleaje a que serán sometidos, teniendo como objeto del estudio la obtención de los coeficientes de transmisión como indicador de su eficiencia. El estudio se realizó en el canal angosto con generador hidráulico de oleaje irregular y equipo de medición de oleaje controlados por computadoras, equipo con que cuenta el Laboratorio de Ingeniería Hidráulica de la Escuela Superior de Ingeniería y Arquitectura-Unidad Zacatenco del Instituto Politécnico Nacional de México. Se implementó un modelo físico reducido en el que se construyeron dos secciones de arrecife, y se calcularon los coeficientes de transmisión del oleaje, que se contrastaron con formulaciones presentadas en el estado del arte.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Artificial reefs have been used as successful beach protection works in various parts of the world. To apply them, it is necessary to establish the wave conditions to which they will be subjected, with the objective of the study obtaining the transmission coefficients as an indicator of their efficiency. The study was carried out in the narrow flume with an irregular wave hydraulic generator and wave measurement equipment controlled by computers, equipment with an account in the Laboratorio de Ingeniería Hidráulica de la Escuela Superior de Ingeniería y Arquitectura - Unidad Zacatenco del Instituto Politécnico Nacional de México. In the flume, a reduced physical model was implemented in which two reef sections were built, and the wave transmission coefficients were calculated, which were contrasted with formulations presented in the state of the art.]]></p></abstract>
